A rather lovely story from Happy Bucker Mackenzie:
I first started out on the search for gentler horsemanship methods with my first horse Glory.
Having quite an interesting relationship, falling off in a pretty regular basis and a whole host of other things, someone reached out to me and gave me quite a bit to think about. This person happened to be the founder of Buck You, and if it were not for our thought provoking conversation, I think things would have turned out very differently.
After asking a bunch of questions with multiple different people and doing a ton of research, I began my journey with positive reinforcement. Learning a whole host of things, the horse that went from trying to throw me off at every available moment (which she had every right to do so at the time), turned to a horse who could be ridden completely tackless alongside the main road.
After searching far and wide for a Bareback pad that fit my standards, I ended up purchasing a Buck You Bareback pad. Let me just say, it has held up through a TON. Between being my main colt starting saddle and used almost daily, it is my go-to. Not only is it very comfortable for the rider, but the horse is extremely comfortable as well.
Running a positive reinforcement-based horse training and lesson business by the name of Bitless and Bareback Equestrian, my Buck You is probably the best and my favorite thing to ride in (besides completely Bareback of course). I am honoured to be a Buck of the Month, not only are the products AMAZING, but the amazing lady who owns this business is one of the most supportive people I know (I’m not crying, you’re crying- Vikki)
